About user actions

If the broadcast involves more than one Axway Server and fails on at least one of them, the broadcast status is set to Broadcast operation failure on at least one server icon Wait For User Action. The status of the broadcast objects is BroadcastInProgress.

You can then perform one of the following user actions:

Restarting a broadcast

If the broadcast was unsuccessful on at least one Server, the Detail tab indicates on which Server(s) the operation failed. The broadcast has the status Wait For User Action.

To restart the broadcast on all Servers:

  1. Select the broadcast in the left pane.
  2. Click Restart broadcast action icon on the toolbar.

To restart the broadcast on a specific Server:

  1. Select the Server on which the broadcast failed.
  2. Click Restart broadcast action icon on the toolbar.

Forcing a Broadcast

You can force a broadcast to be accepted on the Server where the operation ended in error.

To force a broadcast on all Servers:

  1. Select the broadcast in the left pane.
  2. Click Force broadcast action icon on the toolbar to force the broadcast on all Servers where the broadcast failed.
    Each broadcast on the Server in error passes to the status Broadcast operation manually forced on server in error indicator Forced.
    The object statuses are then updated as follows:
  3. Send to Server operation: object status changes to ToBeCommitted or Committed
  4. Commit operation: object status changes to Committed (Transfer CFT objects only)
  5. Remove from Server operation: object status changes to Checked

To force a broadcast on a specific Server:

  1. Select the Server in error on the Detail tab.
  2. Click Force broadcast action on the toolbar to force the broadcast on the selected Server.
    Each broadcast on the Server in error passes to the status Broadcast operation manually forced on server in error indicator Forced.
    The object statuses are then updated as follows:
  3. Send to Server: object status changes to ToBeCommitted or Committed
  4. Commit: object status changes to Committed (Transfer CFT objects only)
  5. Remove from Server: object status changes to Checked

Aborting a Broadcast

Aborting a broadcast cancels broadcasts (with the status Wait For User Action) on each Server.

To abort a broadcast on all Servers:

  1. Select the broadcast in the left pane.
  2. Click Cancel broadcast action icon on the toolbar to abort the broadcast on all Servers.

To abort a broadcast on a selected Server:

  1. Select the Server in error on the Detail tab.
  2. Click Cancel broadcast action icon on the toolbar to abort the broadcast on the selected Server.
    Each broadcast on the Server in error passes to the status Abnormal Termination. All object statuses revert to the previous status.
