Purpose
Use the print function to print out a complete or partial list of object
attributes, either to the printer of your choice or to a PDF file.
Before you start
You can print an object with any life cycle status on condition that
it has a name.
Before you print an object definition, select the object you want to
print. If you select the object:
- In the right pane,
select the print command from the menu bar or from the main toolbar.
- In the navigator
pane, select the print command from the contextual menu or from the navigator
toolbar.
How to define the print setup
To define the print setup:
- Select File
> Print setup, or alternatively click
on the
toolbar. The Page setup window
is displayed.
- Complete the fields on the
Page Layout tab to define page
orientation, margin sizes and paper size.
- Complete the Header/Footer
tab to define the content of page header and footers. You can either select
one of the default headers and footers or alternatively click Custom
Header or Custom Footer to
define your own header and footer content.

How to preview the page before printing
To display the page as it will appear when printed:
Select File > Print Preview from
the menu bar, or click
on the toolbar.
How to print objects
To print an object open in the right pane:
- Select the properties window
of the object you want to print.
- Select File
> Print > Print from the menu bar, or alternatively click
on the toolbar. The Print
window is displayed.
- Complete the print parameters
on the General, Page
Setup and Appearance tabs.
