When you create an object, you must save the object definition in the Composer repository. You can either save the object before you check it, or you can check it first and then save it.
The save operation always applies to an object whose properties window is open in the right pane.
To save an object:
If you select to close the window before saving, a message prompts you to save the object.
Caution: If you check the object and then close it without saving, the object definition is not saved in the repository or added to the tree structure in the navigator pane
