SWIFT message recycling services: Overview

About SWIFT message recycling in FEX

SWIFTNet Portal is a web application that enables you to manually create, validate, correct and recycle SWIFT messages that are rejected during Integrator processing.

The following figure shows Axway Integrator in a production environment and SWIFTNet Portal being used in a message correction environment.

JMS queuing services

In order to exchange messages for the purpose of message recycling, Axway Integrator and SWIFTNet Portal use the JMS queuing services furnished by a JMS provider. Axway Messaging is the JMS provider offered with the Axway 5 Suite. This is shown in the following figure:

This documentation describes a message recycling configuration that uses the JMS queuing services of Axway Messaging. If you are using another JMS provider (WebLogic, MQSeries, OpenJMSand so on), refer to their documentation for queue and communication configuration information.

Composer for configuration tasks

To configure the Integrator connection with Messaging, and to configure Integrator message handling sequences for diverting failed messages to SWIFTNet Portal, you require Composer and the Integrator Enabler for Composer.

Note on the Composer Messaging Enabler installation option

To configure connectivity between Messaging and Integrator in Composer, you can install the Messaging Enabler. However, this is not absolutely essential. You can, for example, represent Messaging in Composer via an Application object. In this case no Messaging Enabler services are necessary. In this guide, we provide an example of such a configuration.
