Starting Axway Gateway Navigator and connecting to Gateway

About Gateway Navigator

Axway Gateway Navigator is a remote GUI that you can use to access and manage Axway Gateway servers. Gateway Navigator only runs on Windows platforms.

Prerequisites

  1. Using the Axway Installer, install a Gateway server and Gateway Navigator.
  2. To avoid problems, make sure that you have Gateway and Gateway Navigator installed at the same service pack and patch level.
  3. Start a Gateway server.

Starting Gateway Navigator

  1. From the Windows Start menu, select:
  2. All Programs > Axway Software > Synchrony Axway > Gateway Navigator > Start Navigator
  3. The Gateway Navigator GUI opens.
  4. In the left frame of the GUI, right-click Session.
  5. Select New Server...
  6. The New Server window appears.
  7. Complete the TCP/IP tab:
  8. Field Enter
    Server alias The name you want to use to refer to your Axway Gateway instance.
    Server address The IP address of the machine that hosts Axway Gateway.
    Port number

    The port number to use to communicate with Axway Gateway.

    Default = 6390.

  9. Click OK.
  10. In the right frame of the GUI, double-click the Gateway server name.
  11. The Gateway Navigator window appears.
  12. If required, enter your password.
  13. Note: When you log in as the default admin user, no password is required until you specifically activate a password for the admin user.
  14. Click Connection.
  15. Gateway Navigator connects to the Gateway server. You can now access all available services.
