DTAZV is a file format used by European credit institutions in order to manage money exchanges between accounts in the European Union. The main advantage DTAZV is that it enables customers (mainly companies and associations) to easily manage their money transfers. Reports on payments (remittances and check payments) arising from foreign trade (Z1 reports and DTAZV payments) must generally be forwarded to the Deutsche Bundesbank by the financial institution which is ordered to execute the payments. The Bundesbank accepts the reports from the financial institutions, in principle, on data media or by data
Telecommunication is accomplished via the ExtraNet of the Bundesbank (see www.bundesbank.de). Magnetic tape cassettes and 3½-inch disks are accepted as data media.
For corporates, FEX provides services for the structural validation of DTAZV files. If necessary corporates can split a file into component elements and then route the components to the appropriate bank.
For banks, FEX provides services that enable the reception of files from partners and corporates, and the validation of file structure. If necessary it is possible to split and envelop files and to file route files to applications in charge of file processing.
