Overview

User profile

Within the Euro zone, central banks, banks, and ancillary systems execute transactions via the TARGET2 Platform (SSP). SSP is a European Central Infrastructure clearing of large payments in euros (RTGS, Real-Time Gross Settlement).

Provided services

Exchange of messages (FIN and XML) and files.

Processing

A payment or liquidity management system generates a message in either a proprietary format or in a FIN message type format and sends the message to Integrator. Integrator validates the message structure and if necessary, transforms the message from a proprietary format to a FIN format. Integrator then sends the message to SSP via SWIFTAlliance Access (SAA), using the FIN protocol.
The back-office system can solicit information from the SSP by sending InterAct or FileAct requests. SSP returns either InterAct or FileAct messages or files. Transactions are executed either in Real-Time or in and Store-and-Forward mode.

A Diamis partnership is a common TARGET2 solution, involving the deployment of both Diamis and Axway Financial Exchange products. In this solution, you associate the Diamis payment and liquidity management platform (Cristal) with the Axway Gateway for InterAct and FileAct exchanges.
