Verifying a successful VPN (4.7)

Summary:

You can create the following policy to check for a successful VPN on incoming messages.

Detailed Information:

When MMS sends a VPN message, it adds the following header to the messages that are encrypted for VPN partners:

X-SMIME-VPN: Yes

You can create a policy to look for this header, thus verifying a successful VPN.

[Access Manager]
For all messages sent from this user
where the header X-SMIME-VPN equals "Yes"
process normally
and append the annotation "secure message"

This policy is an Access Manager type policy and uses the "Add Advanced Header Condition" feature. Please note that you can add new headers to the drop down menu, just by typing it in.
