SV - Troubleshooting Server Validator

Summary

What actions should be taken when troubleshooting a Server Validator issue?

Details

When submitting a Server Validator case to Axway support, please do the following:

  1. Open the Server Validator config file vcapache.ini
  2. Scroll down to <LOG SECTION>
  3. Change the VC_LOG_LEVEL to VC_LOG_LEVEL=2 and save the file to enable debug logging.
  4. Stop Server Validator via Windows services or the command line.
  5. Restart Server Validator
  6. Reproduce the issue 3-5 times and note the time of reproduction.
  7. Upload the following files to an ST account provided by Axway support:
    • vcapache.ini
    • vcapache.log
    • httpd.conf
    • ssl.conf
  8. Let Axway support know that the files have been uploaded for review.
