Cannot send a test message from Tools in the FTDirect Admin UI

Problem

In the Admin UI, I go to Monitor / Troubleshooting /Tools / Test Message and try to send a test message, but get the message:

'Error Sending Message'


Solution

This can happen if no Admin e-mail address has been configured.  The test message uses this address as the Sender.

Under 'Administration' / 'Admin Settings', you will see an option to set the Admin e-mail address.  Once this is in place, the test message option under Tools should work fine.
