Changing which FTP server DAS uses
This article was previously published as ID#30425
Summary:
The DAS product receives filter updates via FTP through the Dynamic Anti-Spam service. If desired, the ftp server can be changed, but an admin doing so should be warned that making this change will also change where MMS downloads virus DAT files from.
Resolution:
Open SQL enterprise manager
Open MMSMail
Open Tables
The FTP server name used by the Dynamic Anti-spam Update service can be modified by editing the row in the DownloadSvcConfigValues table where the keyName = 'FTP Server'.
The service looks for the anti-spam filter data on the FTP server in a directory named /antispam. The directory name can be changed by editing the row where the keyName = 'Anti-Spam FTP Directory'.
