--Does CFT 3.0.1 support zIIP processor on z/OS

--This functionality is available for Transfer CFT 3.0.1 SP5 and higher

--The use of the zIIP processor with CFT version 3.0.1 is conditional. The UPARM switch ziipsup must be set to Y and the file LRECL should be greater than 1024 to realize a gain. If properly configured the CCFT05I:Ziip offload is initialized will appear during CFT Startup.

--zIIP is only used for the PeSIT compression and file encryption (when not dealt by the cryptographic processor directly)

Note: PeSIT uncompressing is not manage by the zIIP processing.

This guide contains a table where for each possible SSL-protocol cryptographic function and Pki.type used, explain if cryptographic device or zIIP processor used.

It should help the user to select the appropriate function when optimizing the zIIP usage is the priority.
