IDOC document standards in B2Bi
Problem
* when defining IDOC objects in B2Bi, there are 2 possible document standards : 46C or 700* it can be used at :
- the Document Service level / Document Format IDOC
- the Messaging Profile level (Partner side) / Messaging standard
* which one should be used ?
Resolution
-- the document standard is the SAP Release.-- it is the 4th field in the Control Record and is named DOCREL (Document Release)
Ex : EDI_DC40 800000000000129309146C 3012 ORDERS05........ ---> in such message, the doc release is "46C"
-- in IDOC standards, the possible releases are
46C to 46D
610 to 640
700
-- B2Bi supports the most common used (46C and 700)
