drain Integrator before stopping Integrator server to avoid logger index to be regenerated
Problem
-- when a user stops Integrator server while messages are being processed (messages in Integrator queues), loggers indexes are regenerated at restart :
WARNING 20141125 16.07.46.58 axwaydemo logger : indexes must be regenerated
-- in case of large number of entries in the loggers, it may take a long time (30 mins or even more), which is a serious problem in production (long downtime)
Resolution
* if possible, drain Integrator before stopping the server :-> disable the Application pickups
-> "Disable all pickups for receiving partner messages" at the Community level
-> wait until there are no more messages in Integrator queues (Queue Monitor)
-> stop Integrator Server
* it may happen that you can't drain the system before stopping the server. To limit the time spent to reindex the logger, follow the KB https://support.axway.com/kb/68801/language/en : -R and -D options optimize the logger size, and speed-up the reindexation
