When API gateway is a component of API Management+ the Decision Insight component relies upon the logs API Gateway generates under /apigateway/events but these logs are deleted as soon as they are processed. Is there any way to retain these for a short time in order to prevent data loss if Decision Insight is temporarily unable to accept data?

Resolution

Yes, this is possible. ESExplorer must be used to configure the gateway to retain event logs for a short time, as is documented in the setup guide under section: 'Entity Explorer settings'. Updated link
