Scanning with the McAfee Anti-Virus filter did not detect the EICAR test virus
Problem
When testing a policy that uses the McAfee Anti-Virus filter to scan the EICAR test virus, the test virus was not detected.
Resolution
The McAfee engine only detects the EICAR test virus when doing a Custom scan with the Scan for Test Files option enabled. Other scan types do not detect EICAR. They also do not make use of the custom options and the checkboxes are disabled.
