Problem

CobolIT is the runtime cobol embeded in the Rule Engine. The license for CobolIT deployed during the installation will expire on 2019-05-22.
After this date, the scripts calling cobol programs (like RDJEXP or RDJMAJ) will finish in error.
The RuleEngine versions impacted are: 2.1.0, 2.2.1, 2.3.0

There is no action required if the environment use the Microfocus runtime.

The parameter COBOL_PROVIDER (see script $RDJ_EXEC/script/rdjenv) indicates the runtime cobol used.

Resolution

1/ Delete or rename the file $RDJ_HOME/cobolit/axway.xml

2/ Copy or transfert in binary mode the file axway.zip available in this KB in the folder $RDJ_HOME/cobolit

3/ Unzip the file axway.zip. The file axway.xml is now replaced. The date expiration for this license is 2050-01-10.

4/ Go to folder $RDJ_EXEC/script

5/ Execute the script rdjenv.

On unix/linux platforms the syntaxe is . ./rdjenv ("." + space + "." + "/" + "rdjenv"))

On Windows only submit rdjenv

6/ Execute the command cobc -V to check the expiration date. It should be 2050-01-10:
