Resolution

Since CFT version 3, Copilot is no longer delivered as an applet but an AWS (Application Web Start) and it can be launched out of a browser from the javaws command.

Oracle will continue to commercially support Java Web Start on Java SE 8 for commercial use, or when used in conjunction with Oracle products that have a Web Start dependency, through at least March 2025.

The future of CFT GUI, as of Transfer CFT 3.3.1, the Transfer CFT graphical user interface is a web browser user interface.

You can use this interface to track and manage transfers, and consult the Transfer CFT log.

It makes Copilot AW deprecated but still delivered for now.
