Problem

The "List" button in an FTP Transfer Site connecting to an AS400 FTP Server returns an empty result.

Resolution

When the LIST format on the AS400 FTP Server is set to "0", the server returns the response to the LIST/NLST subcommand in the IBM i list format.

SecureTransport requires UNIX style list format and cannot read the IBM's list properly, resulting in the file list appearing as empty.

To work around this issue you need to edit the FTP Transfer Site in ST and add the below SITE subcommand in the provided field:

This will instruct the AS400 FTP server to return the response to the LIST/NLST subcommand in the UNIX style list format. The name of the file is the last item of each line returned.
