Problem

Only for EBCDIC platform (IBMi or z/OS), the below PI are always transcoded :

PI99 (PARM)

PI91(MSG or reply)

PI37 (NFNAME)

The transcoding table is applied depending on the order mentioned below:

- until CFT 3.9

1. the table indicated in the CFTPART command
(CFTPART XLATE = identifier)

2. (on EBCDIC platform) the internal tables

- starting with CFT 3.9

1. the table indicated in the CFTPART command
(CFTPART XLATE = identifier)

2. CFTPARM - the table identifier having the default identifier
(CFTPARM DEFAULT = identifier)

3. (on EBCDIC platform) the internal tables

Resolution

To avoid possible transcoding mismatch between different CFT versions:

> Define the same transcoding tables ASCII-EBCDIC / EBCDIC-ASCII under both CFTs

> Set XLATE under CFTPART
