Integration engine constantly crashing due to missing uniqueserver directory

Problem

The Integration engine begins its startup procedure and goes into a consistent crash loop. Checking the <Install>/Integrator/data/trace/8 folder for the trace log, the following error is thrown:


ERROR :20250724:15.48.41.49:r4edi(b2bi_uniqueid):b2bi_uniqueid.s4:1637:failed to create directory '/opt/axway/b2bi/shared/data/uniqueserver/singleton': DIR_CREATE: failed to create directory "/opt/axway/b2bi/shared/data/uniqueserver/singleton": No such file or directory

Resolution

Manually re-creating the /opt/axway/b2bi/shared/data/uniqueserver directory and restarting the Trading Engine will re-start the Integration engine and the singleton folder will be created with the unique file(s).


The uniqueserver directory is a required folder for the Integration engine and is not deleted by the product. A further investigation is required to see how this folder was removed in the first place either via manual deletion or an issue with the NAS/NFS.
