Collaboration settings determine how the application sends messages to your trading partners. Each message protocol (AS1, AS2, AS3, etc.), has its own set of default collaboration settings that control how messages are sent via that protocol.



The Community-specific collaboration settings page affects all outbound documents for all communities, unless you create individual community-specific or partner-level collaboration settings. The Community-specific collaboration settings page also contains the 'Reliable messaging' tab which is used to control the default outbound settings for message resend attempts.



You only need to specify exceptions to the default settings. For any settings you do not change at the community level, the global defaults are used. You also do not need community-specific collaborations if your installation defines only one community or if all communities want to send messages the same way



To view or change community-specific collaboration settings, follow these instructions.



- Login to the application
- Open your Community
- Click the 'Collaboration settings' icon in the Community map
- Click the 'Default settings' link in the top left corner
(Please note: If your installation defines only one community or if all communities want to send messages the same way, you can change the collaboration settings on this page instead of through the 'Default settings' link.)
- Select the tab identifying the message protocol that you want to view or edit
- Save changes if applicable
