How to activate access control in Gateway?
Resolution
We can activate Access Control as follows:
1. In Navigator, go to <Configuration> > Supervisor > Security. For user access control, select "by object type."
2. Restart Gateway.
3. Connect with client with user "admin." It will connect without password, if the password is "admin."
4. Back in Navigator, under Security Management > Access control management, go to the properties of user "admin."
5. Put the password, and confirm password (any password except "admin").
6. Disconnect Navigator from Gateway, then try to reconnect without password and with password.
Note: The password "admin" is hardcoded, and needs to be changed in order for the security features of Gateway logins to work.
Also note that you may instead choose to use PassPort AM for defining your admin users and their permissions.
