Resolution
(1) In the UI, go to the "Manage Document Types" section of the Transaction Director drop down menu.
(2) Scroll down and choose "configure server" from the Pick a Task List.
(3) In the Server Configuration screen, change the "Signing Certificate name" value. You might add today's date as a suffix, for example.
[Explanation:] This certificate is not used. The server generates the certificate upon initial startup. It is valid for two years. The server generates another certificate upon startup if one is not present in the system's personal security environment or PSE. Also, changing the certificate name or subject causes the system to generate a different certificate, replacing the former.
(4) Click the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the screen.
(5) Gracefully stop and restart the server.
