8 or more character passphrase for Certificate
Problem
Resolution
Inconsistent password handling by XTF (version 3.5.1) for Windows and Linux:
The linux one can generate a cert with 8 digits password while the windows one will throw an exception if generate a cert with 8 digits password.
Resolution
The restriction on password length (7 characters) for certificate generation is the default for standard JRE used by Synchrony installer.
If one wants to avoid password length restrictions then one can install JCE extension for JRE which is free and can be downloaded from the following site:
