Axway provides upgrade packs that can be installed in the same fashion as Service Packs.  These upgrade packs will upgrade the product to a newer release.  There are two parts to an upgrade.  1 - You must upgrade the Synchrony Installer, and 2 - you must upgrade the product.

Upgrade the Synchrony Installer:

The Upgrade Pack is installed in the same fashion for each step.

You must upgrade from Synchrony 4.1.3 to 4.2.1

--Download Synchrony_Installer_4.1.3_all_UP1-to-4.2.1_0909242000.jar from support.axway.com.
--Copy the .jar file to a temporary directory on the machine where you want to upgrade the installer.
--Start the 4.1.3 installer in update mode
---GUI - setupUNIX.sh Update (UNIX) or Axway Software > Synchrony Axway > Update Synchrony (Windows)
--- Console - setupUNIX.sh Update InstMode Console (UNIX) or setupWin32 Update InstMode Console (Windows)
--If prompted, select the Synchrony platform home directory
--Click Next (or type Next in Console mode) until you see the list of installed components
--Click Add Update (Or select Add Update in Console mode)
--Browse (or enter) the path to the Upgrade Pack downloaded above
--Press (or type) NEXT
--Continue until the installer applies the update

Synchrony Installer is now upgraded to 4.2.1.

You must upgrade from Synchorny 4.2.1 to 4.3.1

--Download Synchrony_Installer_4.2.1_all_UP1-to-4.3.1_1005101840.jar from the Support website.
--Copy the .jar file to a temporary directory on the machine where you want to upgrade the installer.
--Start the 4.2.1 installer in update mode
---GUI - setupUNIX.sh Update (UNIX) or Axway Software > Synchrony Axway > Update Synchrony (Windows)
--- Console - setupUNIX.sh Update InstMode Console (UNIX) or setupWin32 Update InstMode Console (Windows)
--If prompted, select the Synchrony platform home directory
--Click Next (or type Next in Console mode) until you see the list of installed components
--Click Add Update (Or select Add Update in Console mode)
--Browse (or enter) the path to the Upgrade Pack downloaded above
--Press (or type) NEXT
--Continue until the installer applies the update

You must upgrade from Synchrony 4.3.1 to 4.4.4

--Download Synchrony_Installer_4.4.0_UP7-from-4.3.1_linux-x86-32_BN16272.jar from Axway Support website.
--Copy the .jar file to a temporary directory on the machine where you want to upgrade the installer.
--Start the 4.3.1 installer in update mode
---GUI - setupUNIX.sh Update (UNIX) or Axway Software > Synchrony Axway > Update Synchrony (Windows)
--- Console - setupUNIX.sh Update InstMode Console (UNIX) or setupWin32 Update InstMode Console (Windows)
--If prompted, select the Synchrony platform home directory
--Click Next (or type Next in Console mode) until you see the list of installed components
--Click Add Update (Or select Add Update in Console mode)
--Browse (or enter) the path to the Upgrade Pack downloaded above
--Press (or type) NEXT
--Continue until the installer applies the update

The Installer is now updated to Synchrony 4.4; you are now ready to upgrade the Transfer CFT Product to 2.7.1.

--Update Transfer CFT 2.6.2 -> 2.7.1

Ensure that Transfer CFT server and the GUI (CoPilot) are stopped.  If not, please enter the following commands:

cftstop (stops the server)
copstop -f (stops the GUI)

Make sure the Installer has been upgraded to 4.4 (see above).

--Download Transfer_CFT_2.7.1_UP1-from-2.6.2-2.6.3-2.6.4-2.7.0_linux-x86-32_BN4967.jar from the Support website.
--Copy the .jar file to a temporary directory on the machine where you want to upgrade the installer.
--Start the 4.4.0 installer in update mode
---GUI - setupUNIX.sh Update (UNIX) or Axway Software > Synchrony Axway > Update Synchrony (Windows)
--- Console - setupUNIX.sh Update InstMode Console (UNIX) or setupWin32 Update InstMode Console (Windows)
--If prompted, select the Synchrony platform home directory
--Click Next (or type Next in Console mode) until you see the list of installed components
--Click Add Update (Or select Add Update in Console mode)
--Browse (or enter) the path to the Upgrade Pack downloaded above
--Press (or type) NEXT
--Continue until the installer applies the update

Transfer CFT has now been updated to 2.7.1.
