* The notifications from the Shared Directoy are consumed by the Integrator XFB TA in two situations:

1. At the XFB Transfer Adapter startup
2. When a notif process from Gateway opens a new client connection to the XFB Transfer Adapter in Integrator (can be done either automatically by Gateway or when killing a notif process or the Gateway server)

* You can check the Gateway documentation or open a case on the Gateway connector to find out how many connections a notif process can open, in order to determine the transfer limit at which a new connection will be opened and the notifications from the Shared Directory processed.

* There is no polling done on the Shared Directory by the XFB Transfer Adapter.
