Senders get the error below when trying to send email"



"Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 582 582 This message violates our email security policy. (state 18)."


Resolution

The error designates that senders are using Google Apps Postini Services and specifically Google Message Security.



That would mean that the error is thrown not by the receiving server MailGate (MG) but by the
Google itself. Therefore senders should check

The message security service generates SMTP reply codes of its own, and also passes SMPT codes between sending and receiving Mail Transfer Agents (MTAs). Codes generated by the message security service are specific to components of the service, and can indicate things like:



- The intended recipient was not registered with the service
- The message was identified as spam or virus infected
- The sender's domain was identified as a source of spam
- The message violated some aspect of your company's email policy, for example, by including credit-card numbers or prohibited language
