Creating a new broadcast object
To send your configuration to the Composer Server, Axway Composer
first creates a broadcast object that includes the list of objects involved
in the operation.
To create a new broadcast object:
- Select Broadcast
Browser from the Tools
menu.
- Click
on the
Broadcast Browser toolbar to create
a new broadcast object.
- Select the type of broadcast
operation from the submenu:
- Send to Server
- Send to ServerComplete
- Commit
- Remove from
Server
The new broadcast object is added to the list in the
left pane of the Browser and its status is set to
Under Definition.
- Click the Detail
tab in the right pane of the Browser. The Broadcast
name field displays the default name of the broadcast object. To
modify this name, click the Modify button
next to the name field and then enter the new name.
- To select the objects to add
to the broadcast, click the Selected
objects tab in the right pane of the Browser. Then drag-and-drop
the required objects from the navigator pane to the Object
name field.
Note: You can only drag-and-drop objects that can be sent to
Server and that belong to the same Axway Server. The objects that
you select do not necessarily have to be linked to each other or belong
to the same Folder.
- To specify the Axway Server
to which you want to send the objects (or from which you want to remove
the objects), click the Detail tab.
Drag-and-drop a Server from the Infrastructure
tab in the Navigator pane to the Axway Server field on the Browser Detail
tab.
Note: For Integrator, AccountingIntegrator and ProcessManager,
you can only add a single Axway Server to the list.
- Click
to start
the broadcast. The broadcast status changes to
In
Progress. It remains in progress until the broadcast is complete
on all Servers (if more than one Server is selected).
Results of the broadcast operation
If the broadcast:
- is successful on
all selected Servers, the broadcast status changes to
Normal Termination.
- fails on all Servers,
the broadcast status changes to
Abnormal
Termination.
- involves more than
one Server and fails on at least one of them, the broadcast status changes
to
Wait For User Action.
You must then perform one of the following actions on the Server in error:
Creating the next broadcast
After you create a new broadcast object, you can then select the same
broadcast in the list and create the next broadcast step for the same
transaction.
For example, if you create a new Send to Server broadcast object for
Transfer CFT, the status of the broadcast objects is set to ToBeCommitted.
The next step is to commit the transaction, or remove it from Server.
To create the next broadcast:
- Select the broadcast object
in the left pane and click
on the toolbar.
- Select the broadcast type from
the pop-up menu.
