Using the Deployment Container Creation Wizard
Use the Deployment Container Creation Wizard to create deployment configuration containers . Deployment containers contain the configuration parameters for objects designed in Composer in addition to standard files necessary to deploy this configuration on a remote server.
- Click
on the toolbar or select Generate Deployment Container from the Tools menu to open the Deployment Container Creation Wizard.
- On the first screen, select the Include a Composer XML export option if you want to reimport this configuration container to Composer at a later date.
- Select the Folder and Environment in which the objects to be included in the configuration container have been created.
- If required, select Change objects status to 'Ready to send' after deployment. This makes the objects read-only and ensures that they are kept in the same form as they were deployed. Note that the status will only be changed for objects in Enablers and not for Topography objects.
- Select the target destination for the deployment container:
- Composer Server: the container is created in the \Composer\Composer\container\ installation directory.
- Composer Client: the container is created in the location you specify.
- Click Next.
- Enter a Name, Version, Label and free text Description for the configuration container and click Next.
- From the tree structure, select the objects you want to put in the container. Only the objects in the folder and environment selected in Step 3 are displayed by default. However, you can also:
- Select objects in the repository by clicking on the
button on the toolbar.
- Search for object in an existing container by clicking on the
button on the toolbar.
- Click Next. If you have selected objects belonging to Enablers, for example AccountingIntegrator, select which XML content you wish to export as well as which table content to export for the specific Enabler.
- Click Next. A summary of the container created is displayed.
- Click Next to generate the container. A summary of the generation is displayed.
- Select the Launch container exit option to zip the container created.
- Click Finish to exit the wizard.
