About CommNetworks

The CommNetwork object defines the private or public telecommunications network used to communicate between Hosts. Typically, the CommNetwork is the first object that you define since the Host and Axway Servers must reuse an existing CommNetwork.

A network is characterized by its name and its access method (X.25, SNA, IP...). For example:

Axway Intranet: TCP network type whose address field is managed by Axway internal computing.
Internet: TCP network type whose address field is managed by ICANN.
Transpac: X.25 network type whose address field is managed by the France Telecom subsidiary Transpac.

You can perform all basic operations on CommNetwork objects, depending on your user rights.

This object does not follow the standard object life cycle. You cannot send this object to Server.
