Creating a customer

About

The customer object represents a remote client that exchanges messages with a bank.

This procedure describes how to create a new customer, that you associate with a bank for a secured exchange.

Prerequisites

• The EBICS Server is configured to communicate with PassPort.
• You have rights to create banks and change customers in the EBICS Server user interface.

Procedure

1. Open a session in the EBICS Server administration interface.
2. Navigate to the Customers menu and click Start change process.
3. Select the Create new customer.
4. Complete the fields.

Field	Description
Customer ID	Enter a valid customer ID.
Name	Enter a customer name.
Bank	Enter the ID of the bank with which you want to configure a secure exchange.

5. Click Save.
6. Click Terminate change.

Results

The EBICS Server creates a new customer object.

The EBICS Server creates an entity in PassPort with following parameters:

• name = CustomerID:[business ID of customer]
• location = remote
• isTrusted = false
