Releasing user certificates (EBICS V2.4)

About

The user object is a child object of a customer object. It represents an account of a remote client that exchanges messages with a bank.

This procedure describes how to release the certificates of a user that have been sent to the server.

Prerequisites

• The EBICS Server is configured to communicate with PassPort.
• A customer and a user exist, named respectively CUSTOMER1 and USER1 for this example.
• A remote client has successfully sent its keys to an EBICS bank server. See EBICS bank server imports the certificates of a registered remote client user in the use case description.

Procedure

1. Open a session in the EBICS Server administration interface.
2. Navigate to the User menu and click Start change process.
3. Select User1 (for this example) and select Edit.
4. Select the Channel tab.
5. Click Release.
6. Click Save.
7. Click Terminate change.

Results

The EBICS Server changes the user state to Released.

The EBICS Server builds and validates paths to the certificates of the entity that represents CUSTOMER1/USER1 in PassPort.

The EBICS Server sets the status of certificates belonging to the entity that represents CUSTOMER1/USER1 in PassPort to Available and the trust level to Trusted.
