Overview

To link Integrator and Axway Messaging for the exchange of messages, you create two Channels in Composer:

Before you can create the Channels, you must create in Composer:

Creating the Integrator Send to Messaging Channel

  1. In the Axway Composer Integration-Services workbench, Transport tab /Hierarchy sub-tab, right-click the Axway Server object that represents Integrator and then select Channel from the context menu.
  2. Composer displays the Channel properties window.
  3. Complete the General tab:

    Field Contents
    Name Enter a name for the Channel. For example, SendToMessaging.
    Label Optionally enter a description.
    Status You cannot directly change the status in this field.
    Endpoints
    Terminus1 From the drop-down list, select Application. Then from the Instance field drop-down list, select the Application object that represents the Messaging Server.
    Terminus2 From the drop-down list, select Axway Server. Then from the Instance field drop-down list, select the Axway Server object that represents the Integrator Server.
    Connection parameters
    Connection type This field displays TCP / JMS
    Connection point 1 Select the JMS CommAdapter (this is for the connection on the Integrator side)
    Connection point 2 Select the JMS CommAdapter (this is for the connection on the Messaging side)
  4. In the ConnectionPoint 2 tab, in the Receiver or Sender field select the Sender transfer mode. Leave the default values for the other parameters.
  5. Check, save and close the object.
  6. Send the Channel object to production.
  7. Composer sets the object status to committed.

Creating the Integrator Receive from Messaging Channel

  1. In the Axway Composer Integration-Services workbench, Transport tab / Hierarchy sub-tab, right-click the Axway Server object that represents Integrator and then select Channel from the context menu.
  2. Composer displays the Channel properties window.
  3. Complete the General tab:

    Field Contents
    Name Enter a name for the Channel. For example, ReceiveFromMessaging.
    Label Optionally enter a description.
    Status You cannot directly change the status in this field.
    Endpoints
    Terminus1 From the drop-down list, select Application. Then from the Instance field drop-down list, select the Application object that represents the Messaging Server.
    Terminus2 From the drop-down list, select Axway Server. Then from the Instance field drop-down list, select the Axway Server object that represents the Integrator Server.
    Connection parameters
    Connection type Select TCP / JMS
    Connection point 1 Select the JMS CommAdapter (this is for the connection on the Integrator side)
    Connection point 2 Select the JMS CommAdapter (this is for the connection on the Messaging side) 
  4. In the Connection point 2 tab, in the Receiver or Sender field select Sender. Accept the defaults for the other parameters.
  5. Check, save and close the object.
  6. Send the Channel object to production.
  7. Composer sets the object status to committed.
