About the Sentinel CommAdapter for the Sentinel Server

The Sentinel CommAdapter provides the services that enable Sentinel to receive Tracked Object messages from other applications.

Prerequisites

The Sentinel Axway Server object and CommNetwork must exist in Composer.

Procedure

  1. In the Composer Topography workbench, open the Sentinel Axway Server object.
  2. On the Core Tasks tab of the Axway Server properties window, create a processing task dedicated to Sentinel.
  3. This step is mandatory. By creating a dedicated processing task for the Sentinel CommAdapter you improve the performance of the Sentinel connector by reserving dedicated processes.
  4. On the Communication tab, right-click the CommNetwork and select add a CommAdapter. Select Sentinel QLT-XML for the CommAdapter type.
  5. Composer displays the Sentinel TCP sub-tab.
  6. In this sub-tab, enter a value for the QLT/XML port. You can find this port number in the file <TRK_HOME>\conf\trkserver.xml , displayed in the section QLT server tracker for XML data. Default=1304.
  7. Right click the CommAdapter, and from the context menu, select add a CommPoint.
  8. There are no parameters to complete for this CommPoint.
  9. Select the Sentinel Server Sentinel Parameters tab.
  10. In this tab, enter a value in the RMI port field. You can find this port number in the file <TRK_HOME>\conf\trkserver.xml, in the section RmiRegistry. Default=1308.
  11. Check, save and close the Axway Server object.
  12. Send the Axway Server object to the execution server via the Send to Server command. The status of the Axway Server is set to "Committed".
