Importing the Sentinel object set from CFT

Axway provides a set of objects that enables Sentinel to track CFT events and display information about those events. These objects are available as an XML file in the CFT installation directory when you install an instance of CFT.

This topic describes how to import the object package XML file into Composer and then send the objects to a Sentinel Server.

Importing Sentinel objects for CFT tracking

1. Connect to Composer.
2. In the top left pane of the Composer UI, select a target workfolder.
3. In the Integration-Services workbench, select Tools > Import object…
4. Composer opens the Import wizard.
4. In the Import wizard, navigate to the folder: [Axway home installation directory]\Components\Transfer_CFT_Vxxx\ extras\sentinel\.
5. Select the Sentinel package file: XML XFB_ALL_EN.xml
6. Click Next.
7. Select an import mode from among the options:
• Current Folder: if the object does not exist in the target Folder, the software imports the objects into the current Folder.
• Update the Folder Hierarchy: if an identical object exists in the target Folder, the software creates the object with the extension Copy. The Folder hierarchy of the objects to import is respected and recreated if necessary.
• Specified Environment: the object is imported to the Environment selected.
• Update the Environment: the object is imported to its original Environment. If this Environment does not exist, it is created.
8. Unless the same object already exists, skip the options in the Force import of same object screen.
9. Click Finish.
10. Composer imports the XFB_ALL_EN.xml file and generates the following set of Sentinel objects:
