Transfer-event monitoring: Configuring Gateway for Sentinel connectivity

Procedure

  1. Open a session of the Gateway Navigator.
  2. In the navigation pane of the Gateway Navigator main window, right-click on the name of the Gateway Server instance that you want to monitor, and then select Configure from the context menu.
  3. Gateway Navigator opens a configuration window for the Gateway Server instance.
  4. In the navigation (left) pane of the configuration window, select Connectivity > Synchrony Connectivity > Sentinel.
  5. Navigator displays the Sentinel configuration fields.

    Field Description
    Host name Enter the IP address or the host name of the Sentinel server or Event Router.
    Port Enter the TCP port number of the Sentinel server or Event Router.
    Backup host name Enter the IP address or the host name of the backup Sentinel server
    backup port Enter the TCP port number of the backup Sentinel server
    Transfer filter

    Specify the level of information to send to Sentinel regarding Transfer state changes.

    Select one of the following values:

    • All: Send all transfer state changes to the Sentinel Server
    • Summary: Send only the following transfer state changes: Ended, Acked, Canceled, Created, To Begin
    • None: Send no transfer state changes to the Sentinel Server
    Log filter

    Specify the level of log information to send to Sentinel or the Event Router. Select one, or more, or none, of the following options:

    • Information
    • Warning
    • Error
    • Failure

    Note: You can also set this parameter in the Gateway Remote Site, Application and Transfer Request objects.
    Activate Select this option to enable the connection to Sentinel.
  6. Click Apply to save the changes.
  7. Restart Gateway to commit the changes.
