Managing Sentinel Correlation Rules and Requests for Gateway
To configure Sentinel for interoperability with Gateway, you:
- Import the Gateway Correlation Rules and Requests
- Verify that the Gateway objects have been successfully imported
Importing Correlation Rules
You import the XFB Gateway Correlation Rule objects from the Axway Support website https://support.axway.com.
To import the Correlation Rules:
- If you have not already created a Correlation Rule, you must create the Rule directory in the subdirectory \commit.
- Copy the XML files from the XFB_RULES folder on the Axway Support website https://support.axway.com to: <Sentinel install directory>\broadcast\commit\Rule
- Stop and restart the Sentinel Server.
Verifying Correlation Rule importation
Verify that the Correlation Rules were successfully imported in the Sentinel Correlation Interface.
- Display the Correlation Interface.
- On the Rules tab of the Correlation Interface, expand the XFB subnode of the Correlation Rules node. Sentinel displays the following imported Correlation Rules:
- XFB_Alert
- XFB_AutoAck
- XFB_Delay
- XFB_LinkCycle
- XFB_Number
- XFB_Period
- XFB_Route
- XFB_Show
- XFB_Statistics
For more information on the Correlation Interface, refer to the Sentinel online documentation.
Verifying Request importation
Using the Sentinel Monitoring Interface, you can verify that the Request objects were successfully sent to production.
- Display the Monitoring Interface.
- In the left pane, expand the XFB subnode of the SENTINEL node. Sentinel displays the following imported XFB Requests, including the Requests associated with the Gateway Dashboard object:
- CurrentAlertTransfer
- CurrentDayTransfer
- NbAlert
- NbEnd
- XFBLog
- XFBTransfer
- XFB_DhB_DurationPartners
- XFB_DhB_DurationProtocols
- XFB_DhB_Flows
- XFB_DhB_Partners
- XFB_DhB_Protocols
For more information on the Monitoring Interface, refer to the Sentinel online documentation.
