Prerequisites

Log off from the Sentinel monitoring interface.

Stopping Sentinel

Windows (non-service mode)

Open a command console screen.

Enter the command: Windows:stopserver.bat

Windows service mode

During installation you can choose to run Sentinel as a Windows service. This causes the server to start and stop with the machine on which it is installed.

If you need to stop the Sentinel server:

From the Windows Start menu, select Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.
Windows displays the Services window.
Scroll down the Services list and right-click the Sentinel service.
From the context menu, select Stop.

UNIX

Navigate to the Sentinel installation directory and enter the command: / stopserver
