Starting the Web Service Front-End

UNIX

Go to the root directory of the Front-End installation directory and execute the script:

Start-FrontEnd.sh

Windows (non-service mode)

Do one of the following:

Go to the root directory of the Front-End installation directory and execute the script:
Start-FrontEnd.bat
From the Windows Start menu, select Programs > Axway Software > Synchrony Axway > Start Web Service Front-End

Windows service mode

During installation you can choose to run Web Service Front-End as a Windows service. This causes the server to start and stop with the machine on which it is installed.

To start the Front-End with Windows already running:

From the Windows Start menu, select Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.
Windows displays the Services window.
Scroll down the Services list and right-click the Web Service Front-End service.
From the context menu, select Start.
