DRAC web access port conflict with user interface
By default or upon configuration reset (especially if motherboard was replaced), DRAC runs in NIC Shared Mode. This way access to DRAC is available on all network interfaces on the server and not only on DRAC dedicated interface. In such situation, Admin UI and/or end-user UI will not be available due to port conflict.
Resolution
Open the DRAC configuration under https://<IP ADDRESS>/cgi-bin/webcgi/main
For DRAC 5
1. Navigate to Remote Access, Configuration, NIC Selection
2. Check if SHARED is selected and change to DEDICATED
3. Apply the changes.
For iDRAC 6
1. Navigate to iDRAC Settings, Network/Security, NIC Selection
2. Check if SHARED is selected and change to DEDICATED
3. Apply the changes.
NOTE: Prior to saving the settings, ensure that network connectivity to the DRAC dedicated network interface is available.
