(JDBC.warn:106) - The maximum number of connections (100) for the connection pool have been exhausted

Problem

error  when processing high loads

(JDBC.warn:106) - The maximum number of connections (100) for the connection pool have been exhausted.

- once the pools are exhausted there are many messages stuck as in-process state in Interchange

- the te node from the UI has to be restarted in order to free up the connections.

- Oracle DB is configured to accept up to 1000 connections.

Resolution

1- open the config file Interchange/conf/datastoreconfig.xml

2- find the DB section matching with your installation

3- increase the MaxActive from 100 to a higher value

Note : MaxActive=300 generally affords to handle around 20 messages per second
