Problem

--  zip files are created under Mapping_Services/Map_Designer when deploying an object from Map Designer
ex : Package1372045725024.zip

-- such files are not removed by the product, and there can be a lot of such zip files after some time ....

-- what is the use of such files ? can they be deleted ?

Resolution

* such packages are created by the import/export API used for the deployment

* they can be removed safely

* they will not be created in the next release (2.5.0)
