Axway Message Protection Lab (MPL) report categories

 

In the reports that Axway Message Protection Lab (MPL) sends out to customers, each submitted message is listed along with its status category / message type. Below you can find the descriptions of each type:

 

Message Type

Description

Not Addressed Yet

The email has not been addressed by the lab. It may be addressed in a future filter data release or may not form part of a pattern that the lab can address.

Filter Data Release

The email was addressed in filter data release BYYYYMMDDNN. The filter pattern id gives the release date and pattern number of the release.

Cannot be Addressed

The lab has been unable to address the message. This is usually because it does not contain enough information to uniquely identify it as spam.

Incorrectly Submitted

The lab was not able to process the message because it was submitted in an incorrect format. Please ensure messages are sent as attachments where possible, or forwarded with no change to the subject or additions to the body text if forwarding as an attachment is not possible.

Not Spam

Message is either legitimate and/or internal communication or service notification.

Tagged

The message upon arrival had X-MMS or X-TMWD headers identifying it as spam or broadcast. This means that the message is already caught at customer's side and it needs not to be reported as missed spam.

Filtered by Size

Message exceeds size limitation of 500K and cannot be processed.

Processed

The email was reviewed and used to improve capture and false positive rates of real-time spam protection.

Spam

The message was tagged as Junk and submitted to an incorrect report alias. Status Spam means that the lab reviewed the message and it was correctly identified as Junk at customer's side.

Broadcast

The message was tagged as Bulk and submitted to an incorrect report alias. Category Broadcast means that the lab reviewed the message and it was correctly identified as Bulk at customer's side.
