How to test a WSDL for compliance using a WS-I Test Assertion Document in Policy Studio

Problem

How to test  a WSDL for compliance using a WS-I Test Assertion Document in Policy Studio

Resolution

It is possible to test a WSDL before loading it into Policy Studio if the installation is configured.

The WS-I TAD compliance file is part of the WS-I Interoperability Testing Tools 1.1 and can be currently downloaded here (Java version - 3.66 Mbytes) :

http://www.ws-i.org/deliverables/workinggroup.aspx?wg=testingtools

Point Policy Studio to the WS-I TAD file:

1) Open Policy Studio
2) Click Window on the top menu
3) Click on Preferences...
4) Click on the WS-I Settings option
5) Enter the root location for the extracted WS-I tools (e.g. c:\wsi-test-tools)
6) Click on Apply and then OK.

Running the Compliance Test :

1) Open Policy Studio
2) Click Tools on the top Window
3) Click Run WS-I Compliance Test...
4) Select a WSDL via file or URL
5) Click OK
6) Results will be displayed in a html page in a browser window (saved to a file in the Policy Studio installation e.g. ./wsi-reports/report1600762703392874724.html)
