How to migrate SecureClient configuration and license between an old PC and a new PC.

Resolution

1. Login with the Windows User account on the old PC
2. Copy the complete “ %APPDATA%\axway\SecureClient\ “ folder. Prepare to transfer it to the new PC.
3. Start SecureClient and:

a. Check the version from Help -> About
b. Navigate to Help -> License -> Return License
c. After successfully returning the license, stop SecureClient

4. Login with the appropriate Windows User account on the new PC
5. Install the same version of SecureClient
6. Start SecureClient and do not activate
7. Navigate to “ %APPDATA%\axway\SecureClient\ “ and replace the contents with the ones from the old PC
8. Reuse your Activation ID (it was released in step 3). It is important to do so *after* Step 7.
