disk full on B2Bi : prevent & solve

Problem

* disk full, especially on the shared drive is the most common cause of production stop
* how to prevent it ?
* what to do if the system does not restart / behaves as expected after a disk full ?

Resolution


Prevent ...

1- monitor the disk space carefully (involve the admin system !)

2- make sure the archiving is working fine (use the Message Log filters)  and that the logger directory size remains stable

3- use the LOGGER_OPTIONS -D and -R (refer to https://support.axway.com/kb/156365/language/en)

And solve...

If the system does no start or behaves as expected after a disk full, it is recommened to perform a "./setupUNIX.sh Configure" on Integrator and on B2Bi Core. it will restore the default system files which may have been corrupted when being accessed when the disk was full
