Problem

Updating InterPlay 2.3.0 to SP7/SP8 on a fresh Linux VM fails for Designer:

An error has occurred while updating product Interplay V2.3.0
Correct the error and select “retry” to continue the update

The rest of the products are updated successfully.

Cause

Following a problem with the Linux VM, a specific action was taken by Axway. It concerns the optimized management of entropy.

In the XDBM logs we had: I/O messages: Connection reset, il depasse un timeout et la connexion est interrompue totalement.

Resolution

The installation of a Linux package is necessary:
