Problem

A connection to a specific host interrupts with:

nested fault: SSL protocol error

error:14090086:SSL routines:ssl3_get_server_certificate:certificate verify failed, source location: s3_clnt.c:1269

java.lang.RuntimeException: SSL protocol error

Resolution

Should you use API Gateway or API Manager, use Remote Hosts.

On the Remote Host, check "Send Server Name Indication TLS extension to server"

For API Gateway, you must deploy the configuration; for API Manager, you must "apply" and "save".
