UCONF parameters are not manageable from CG after CFT upgrade to 3.8

Problem

We are testing the new version of CFT 3.8, after having updated to this version we have detected that it is not possible from Central Governance to make changes into uconf (Unified Configuration).

I have re-performed the installation process from 0 and I continue to have the same problem.

After the upgrade to CFT 3.8 from CG.

From this moment on, I can no longer consult the uconf configuration in CG.

If I connect directly by copilot to the 3.8 installation, I can see the uconf configuration.

The process to follow to show the uconf again is the following:

1. After updating to cft 3.8, I have accessed the product configuration section.

2.I have clicked on the edit button and in the "configuration dictionary" section I have set the value to No and then I have left it as "Yes" again.

3. Click on the Cancel button (since I haven't really made any changes) and I can now see the uconf parameters.

Just after the upgrade when checking on CG, there's no item to display, and the after changing the "configuration dictionary" from Yes to No and then

backward the uconf parm were showing up again.

Resolution

It is the normal behavior and there is nothing new nor related to v3.8.

CG stores one UCONF dictionary per version and per platform at product registration time

CG displays the UCONF dictionary only if it has one that matches the platform and version.

CG retrieves UCONF dictionary automatically when CFT registers or, manually when on the CG CFT Configuration page, you click on Yes for UCONF.

In this case, as it is your first CFT upgraded to CFT 3.8, and there no new CFT 3.8 registered, as CG has no dictionary for that specific platform/version, the dictionary does not display.

When you switch the UCONF option from NO to YES, CG retrieves the dictionary and displays it.

So this manual operation is only required if there is no CFT of that specific platform/version registered already.
